Ugh, a black dial Movado. He'll be Rodoco-ing it until the cows come
home. I find using a soft lintless rag does better, even if the Rodico
is brand new.
ps: I'm not sure if that is the Movado model or not, but i did a
Movado once where the dial had a layer of what seemed to be glass on
it. Since the movement has the offset screws to hold the dial legs,
when i refitted the dial and had it facing down on the rest, i pushed
down slightly(as we'd do) on the offset screw to tighten it and that
layer on the top of the damn dial went "craaaaack".
The cost of learning about that was 95 or 125 bucks. Both those
figures are in my mind for some reason, but what really stuck was the
cracking noise. :-)
