The error's in the direction of suggesting
less depth, not more, if an owner were to
use the metric limit, so there's no greater
threat to the watch. or potential financial
loss.


OTOH, Maybe that 'typo'on the Nautica
will make it a collector's item?
Yeah, right.

In 1999 NASA forgot to make the English/
metric conversion at all -- with the Mars
Lander.

1000 feet or 1000 meters? hmmmm...
powering down... splat!
