Besides the British, the French, have manufactured beautiful standing
clocks, whereas the Swiss concentrated on wall clocks. IMHO, the
various types manufactured in the French Jura, called "morbier" or
"comté", as from the name of a township or the area "France Comté",
are very interesting.
