Do you believe everything you hear on the news? The stories I read
would lead you to believe that the Mafia loses money on the watches
that are sold on Canal Street. The stories did not state that
explicitly, but they claimed that these sales are part of their money
laundering operations. IANAMobster, but I think that money laundering
operates at a financial loss. If this is true, then the Canal Street
sales may be helping them, but it is not positiviely contributing funds
to them.
