And here's the reason: why would people bother to pirate a copy of a 128
Kbps MP3 from an iPod when they can simply browse
alt.binaries.sounds.lossless and get new releases (often the same day, if
not earlier) in Flac format?
Not to mention the folktonne
of Bit Torrent indexing
sites like Demonoid, ISOhunt,
etc.
