It's now been 20 years since Stevie Ray Vaughn met his demise aboard a
helicopter over Wisconsin.  It doesn't seem that long ago.  I was at his
last show that night in Alpine Valley.  I'd been watching the show from
down front and went backstage just after the encore ended.  I remember
commenting to a friend as we walked past the four helicopters idling
nearby that I couldn't believe anyone would try flying out of there in
the heavy fog that had settled into the valley.  Three of the choppers
did it right and lifted straight up above the surrounding hills and then
headed toward Chicago.  The one SRV was onboard took off ascending as it
went forward.  It crashed into one of the hills used in the winter as a
ski run.  Stupid mistake really.  I didn't hear anything that remotely
sounded like a crash.  I didn't learn about the crash until the next
morning.  The following night, the show moved on to St. Louis.  I saw
SRV many times throughout his career. I'll never forget that his guitar
tone was always the best of anyone on any bill that I ever heard him
play on.  He walked the walk.

Never saw him live but will always be a fan of his tone and his playing.
He's one player you'll never hear searching for his next riff.

Yeah but his riffs are a crock of shit.

SRVs riffs a crock of shit?

You cannot be serious.

Oh yes I can and I'm being VERY serious.

And on what basis are you making such an astounding claim?

(You do realize you're talking to an troll / lunatic, right?)

You would do as well to ask a ferret how he feels about Bach.
