This entire double album offers nothing but atonal, meandering
distortion, feedback and guitar noise layered into a numbing,
deafening, rhythmless racket for 64 minutes. Reed once said, ?Anyone
who gets to side four is dumber than I am.? That may be the most
honest summary imaginable for this musical abortion

A local record store (AL Bums was the name) had a stockpile
of this turd, for $.50 ea. I grabbed a copy. MAN, did
it suck. I did listen to all four sides, and I agree with
Lou about being dumb. What is even dumber is the record
company re-released it on CD years later. I was told Lou
toured doing this crap, and a DVD was planned when
the CD came out. Never saw that turd.

I'd like to know the name of the (now, I'm sure, unemployed)
record exec who 'ok'd' this crap. OR, was Lou at the
end of his contract, and was just making sure he didn't get
re-signed..? That can backfire. Nick Lowe wanted out
of his contract, and wrote his 'Bay City Rollers' turd, but
it backfired because it was a smash hit in Japan, and he
wrote at least one follow up to it, and resigned to the label.
