I'll admit I use a touch of delay on my lead boost, but its a
single
repeat and very subtle. Just a "sweetner".

Good tone and tasteful playing go further than *any* effect ever
will....

Eh... there are some things good tone and tasteful playing can't
do... I
don't want this to degrade into a "Jeff Beck" argument.

Effects - when used well - are glorious..

Their are masters and I'm not one of them.

Listen to the Flanger at the beginning of "And the Cradle will
Rock"
by
Van Halen, or 'Solar Angels' by Judas Priest...

Or ANY Pat Travers chorus sound - or somebody tearing into a Wah...

3 things you'll never hear on an AC/DC recording... :)

AC/DC is the most boring band on the face of the earth next to Judas
Priest,
Kiss, The Jonas Bros and Hanna Montana. I do like A. Young's tone.
That's
about it.

As anti-effects as I am, I do own a boost and a wah. :-)

Priest is boring?? Never heard that one!!

Monotonous is a better word IMHO. Same with AC/DC. One trick ponies.

Dude.. How much Priest have you heard?? <snip>

How many do I need to?

I haven't listened to Priest since the 80s. Used to work in a kitchen and we blared R&R all shift.

A friend of mine would sing the lyrics to all the JP songs to the melody of "You've got another thing..." It was hilarious because they all fit. <g>

I have the feeling you're much younger than I am. Good for you dude but R&R doesn't get me all worked up anymore.

So even if they were "The Beatles" I doubt I'd like them.
