<g> I don't go in for bickering, too much like a junior school yard.

"I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys' R Us kid."

And there's a new way of selling them "side stacked humbuckers".

I've never played a stacked strat style humbucker, but stacked
humbuckers seem to be promoted as "silent single coils" rather than
"small humbuckers".<snip>

I think the same could be said for the lil '59, but if you have to
make
the sacrifice, it's is a good way to go. IMO

I really miss my old P-90 guitar. Never should have sold it.

I've never heard a stacked or rail PUP that sounded like a PAF, the
Lil 59
has to be the closest I have heard. Still NQR tho. Mind you it does
have a
very nice voice.

I took the OP to mean SC sized, that seems logical to me. ;-)

Tony likes to keep things on even keel. I've learned quite a bit from
him.
Most of it goes over my head though. BTW: I want to see pics of your lap
steel project too.

got some tools today to finish it off, router, plane and coping saw.
Getting there slowly.

Here's the inspiration;

This is what I'd like;

I'd really like to have that Fender. Tony helped me run down an old
Supro and fix it up. Plays great, but I don't have natural slide
ability. What little I've got I have to earn. I've set down the Reso and
the Supro for awhile now. I'll pick them up again if my CTS ever flares
up again. Nice to have alternatives in my old age. BTW: Supros pups are
great if you can find one cheap.

Won't get one cheap over here mate. ;-) I'd love one too. Any pics of the Supro?
