They say we all have our own personal hell. Mine would definitely consist of
having to listen to more than 5 seconds of a GD tune every 10 years or so.
Reminds me of my favorite Jerry Garcia joke.
Jerry Garcia takes his last breath ,closes his eyes and dies. He opens
his eyes and in this large room filled with guitars ,amplifiers,
microphones and drums. A large door opens and in walks Duane Allman,
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Berry Oakley, and they start to put on guitars and
tune up. Then thru the doors walk Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison and
they star to warm up their voices. Jerry starts to smile and think to
himself " My God I have made it to heaven. I am going to get to jam
with these great players for all eternity. " Just at that point the
door swings open again and in walks Karen Carpenter. She sits down at
the drum kit and says " We are going to do this till we get it right.
"Close To You" and 1 and 2...."
