I learned to do pinch harmonics on my own. Afterwards I've read about
and seen people doing it by using their thumb to touch the harmonic
node while striking the string with their pick. I think I am the only
person I've ever seen who uses the tip of their index finger to strike
the harmonic node while striking the string with the pick. Obviously
it isn't taught this way, but it works fine for me. Does anyone else
do this are have you seen anyone else doing it?
Steve Morse does it the same way. He holds the pick between his thumb and
2nd finger while touching the string with his 1st finger.
