Hi, Bob. Welcome to my killfile.
Gee, I'm sorry. I wasn't aware racism was the norm, here.

It isn't racist to say "We're all African, it's just some of us left and turned white". It's a fact supported by evidence.

Central Africa was the birthplace of the human species. Any humans who mutated to have lighter skin in Central Africa perished due to the destruction of their DNA and folate by UV radiation, while those who retained their very dark skin were protected by their melanin.

When humans left Africa and ventured into higher latitude Europe, which is a lower UV environment, those who retained their very dark skin perished due to vitamin D deficiency because their melanin blocked all of the UV. Those who mutated to have less pigmentation prospered because they could produce their own vitamin D.

Eventually different regions of the world had people with the right amount of pigmentation for the particular environment, so some areas had very dark people, some areas had very light people, and other areas had in-between people whose particular "shade" was dependent upon the UV levels in their particular area.

I didn't source my information from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_skin_color, but it says pretty much the same thing. It's an interesting read.

Poppycock. Everyone knows Adam and Eve were white!

The internet would never lie!

...Rubens was obviously an incompetent observer...given that Adam and Eve were made from the dirt...and not from the alabaster...
