I do ;-)

last night a friend called me over to his house and showed me a
butterscotch affinity that had all the electronics (everything, pickups,
pots, switches) way huge upgraded, and it did sound really good. the color
isnt quite what i was looking for, and the neck needs to be tinted yellow,
but, the price was great, so I bit. Eventually I hope to replace the body
with a yellow one, perhaps pine, if i can find one for cheap. I'm a miser,
as everybody knows.

I still get a hankering for a HK Squier. One thing I do like is showing
what a Squier can do too. Nothing like getting compliments about tone on
a cheap guitar ;-)

oh hell thats the most fun game in the world, yanking the chains of the
bedroom tone snobs. I do gigs with this one band, a pedalboard full of
hideous cheap Ebay pedals, nothing remotely booteek whatsoever. Last time a
couple of guys were staring at it, sort of aghast, and then one of them
says, "you're fender amp sounded really good" and when I told them it was
actually a Peavey, you could see their heads practically implode.

This shit never gets old.
