If you're going to block the bridge and disable the middle pickup, you might as well play a

Well, nothing sounds like a strat but a strat. In my gigging days,
middle pickup always got in the way and I never used it, so out it
went. Nowadays, not so much, I'm not out blasting molten riffs of hot
rocking metal mayhem.
