Ike was playing Strats all the way back to their beginning, 1954. He was
a strong proponet of the Fender Syncronised Tremolo (whammy bar) and did
some great instrumentals featuring it (the Strat trem being much more
versatile and expressive than the Bigsby in the right hands).
Also he played the lead on Otis Rush's "Double Trouble" which features
some unique whammy bar work; in fact Ike was responsible for Otis
getting signed to Cobra Records.
Tina didn't come along until '62 or so and the cocaine abuse and
resultant wife abuse came much much later
I'd pay $300 for the guitar for sure
