playing with combo or half stack?

Playing a club show,to 300 people, good size stage and top PA with FOH guy
and am deciding on whether I should go with a 50 watt combo or a 50 watt
half stack? I figure if the cab/amp is going to be miked, it doesn't really
make any differecne whether I'm using a stack or combo, but what do you all
advise is the best? I prefer teh sound of the combo over the half stack,
both are Laney BTW.
