THE GREATEST ATHLETE WHO EVER LIVED
I'm glad this sequence survived the cut at the comapny. Here he is,
the Greatest Athlete Who Ever Lived. On the films he makes Mickey
Mantle look like Mickey Mouse, and Joe Namath look like Julie Andrews.
It's a pity I didn't get him playing basketball as well. He was the
Top Three in the Top Three. In fact the New York Yankees wanted him
once they found out about him. No minor leagues or anything! Just
right into uniform and clean-up position #4 in the line-up. You can
see why in the film.
If you're going to present Super 8 films please present some decent
subject matter.
Another prominent figure on the films is Schteven. Now here was
a...when it came to sports, particularly baseball and softball he was
a frightful dude. He's awlso in the Everlast boxing scenes (beating me
up lol) AT the Forest Hills Music and Tennis scenes, and other spots
in the films.
I'm starting to cawl this "the Wereo of Super 8" because that's what
it is. There's awlso lots of Camp stuff the firm likes. I must tell
you it's a big firm and I am thrilled and honored they chose my work
out of the hundreds of submissions they must get every day. I sent
them a 17-18 mins sample and they must've fell in love with it right
away. They were more than thrilled when I supbmitted awl my early
1970s filmmaking work on Digibeta as opposed to the original 17-18
mins VHS.
ROLL 'EM IN, CHARLEY!!!
