The Epiphone LP I purchased from Gallins at Annandale recently had some
fret damage I didnt notice at purchase and to make things worse the LP
fell off its cheap, pathetic, unbalanced, chinese-made stand on its face
onto a tile floor thus causing more fret damage. Of course the shop blamed
me for the fret damage in total and has sent it to be Plek'd at Guitar
setups at my expense..my bad luck indeed. I dont even worship Alister
Crowley.. mercy! lol Has anyone had their guitar Plek'd?
No, and I'd be wondering if the shop doesn't have or know a tech who can do
a decent fret dress.
The Plek machine is a tool, and the guitar still has to be set up by someone
who has a clue.
In addition, the Plek machine can't deal with underlying problems, such as
loose frets - which are not uncommon. Somebody still has to examine the
instrument and fix these problems - by hand.
Also, get a decent stand.
