Two reasons... one is that this guitar has EMG SA pickups, which
require a 25K pot. I looked around a bit but I haven't found a 25K
audio taper pot with a switch.

Ummm, there's one in the link I posted. Audio taper, 25 K. First one
listed.

The main one, though, is that the toggle would be a lot easier for
me to manipulate quickly on the fly. I recently put a push-pull
neck-on switch in my 3-pickup Tele. I can't always accurately pull
my knob out (so to speak) during the heat of the moment. And that's
the large, knurled Tele knob - I think the plastic, short, hat-shaped
Strat knob would be much harder to pull.

Granted. Oh well, one out of two!
