Let it sit in your environment first. It may recover on it's own.
I would also oil the board but I know some folks here don't like
Fretboard oil. YMMV.
If you file it now, you may find the board returns to normal and
you've broken something that would have fixed itself :)

If you oil the board you may be preventing the natural absorption of
humidity, "freezing" your neck the way it is. I agree completely about
doing nothing for a little while, but IMO that should include not oiling it.

I bought a 2005 new old stock set neck Schecter. The edges of the
fret board have shrunk I guess from being dry(It shipped from Nevada)
and have left the sharp ends of the frets exposed. I could send it
back, but it's a discontinued model, and I'm thinking of using my set
of old needle files to take off the sharp ends. It also is a bound
fretboard. Just wondering if any of you have done this and have any
suggestions about the procedure.
