Heavier gauge strings Q

Hi all, I'm about to experiment with some heavier gauge strings (11-50
instead 10's) on a LP Studio. Does a heavier gauge ever affect the neck
of the guitar? Mine plays really nicely and evenly all the up and down
and I don't want to mess that up. Also would it affect the intonation?
