For example, I have a Telecaster that has a passive single coil
bridge pickup that can get controlled feedback (well ok sometimes
it gets a bit out of hand with lots of gain) but when controlled
it is nice harmonic feedback - not squealed out bad stuff.
Can active pickups (like EMG) get feedback or are they resistant to this ?
Just want to ask some experienced people here in ag that have them.
and yes - there are good points and bad points to feedback.
so I don't want to get into that argument - but just want to
know if the actives can get any feedback at all.
ok. thanks.
Controlled feedback has to do with the speaker vibrating the guitar
body/strings to keep the note (or whatever harmonic happens to be
dominant) sustaining. Pickups are out of the equasion. If a stock
Strat will do it then pretty much *anything* will.
