I just bought a KORG GT-120 guitar tuner. It uses a 9V DC adapter.
But it doesn't list what the milliamps it would be.
I don't want to burn this thing up.
Does anyone know how many milliamps I'll need?
Thanks,
Terry in Texas
You won't burn the tuner by using too small or large an adapter. You'll
damage it by using one of the *wrong polarity*.
Look for the symbol on the case, near the power jack. There will be a plus
and a minus sign, each pointing to either the shell or the center pin. Use
a matching adapter.
The last part of it is that the plugs have to fit together; they aren't universal.
That tuner wants a center-pin-negative adapter, from 500 to 600 mA.
If you use an adapter that can't provide enough power, unlikely for a tuner that uses AAA batteries,
you'll damage the adapter, and the tuner just won't work very well.
But since you ask, if you google that tuner, you can find the specs here,
and they include the adapter specs:

"Power Supply:
two AAA batteries (3 V), or AC adapter model - A30950/KA183 (sold separately)
9V 500~600ma Center Pin (-) "
