I am reading that Korean made Strats are Squiers only. Is this correct? If
so then I got scammed because the guitar I just bought doesn't say Squier on
it, it says Fender. I havent picked it up yet but heres and image of it.
Anyone can shed any light on this? I mean hell I paid 99.00 for it so I aint
bitching but cant find any info for Korean made strats.

I can't really see any point in removing a Squire decal and applying a
Fender decal on a guitar that sells for $99 - can you?
Normally when decals are replaced it's to get an extra $1,000 or more
out of a sale on a vintage guitar that somebody wants to pass off as
being from a particular year. But you're talking about the difference
of maybe ten bucks here on a cheap non-vintage overseas strat that's
still being sold as a cheap non-vintage overseas strat. (If they
really wanted to replace the decal and fool you, wouldn't they replace
it with one that said "Made in the USA"?)
I'd assume it's real until proven otherwise. If you get it and the
decal looks obviously wrong in some way, like it's on top of the
finish or it's peeling off or it's bent, then I'd start worrying about
it. But if everything looks right, then I'm sure it is right in this
case.
