That harmony, it's like the Carpenters. It's phenomenal. I don't
care if it's a bit lite on the testosterone - there's enough
of that out there already. It still sounds great.
I imagine a little bit of Don Henley goes a long way ( hell,
that's true when he's just talking ) but those guys were good
and they got better.
Again, that *had* to happen. Somebody had to seriously cross
over country and rock and those guys did it. Waylon did it from
the other direction, and he's not considered a sellout at all- but
you look at his business arrangements, and he was all about gettin'
paid. He pretty much tore Nashvegas down.
