Re: 10s are easier than 9s??

My name aint Keef . If you're going to address me then use my name or dont
address me at all. The only reasons I can think of why your Gibsons stay in
tune on your G string is because you're just so fucking special or dont know
when they're out of tune.

The bad G on a Les Paul is notorious,. From what I hear just about all of
them are like that. Why? Dont know

Guys, I have a Les Paul Standard

i used to play with default 9s that came with for 6 months (damn thats
long) then replaced with earnie ball 9s

dint make much of a difference (in sound did but in the playablity no)

recently i replaced the 9s with new earnie ball 10s

WTF???

It almost felt like i was tuned an octave down or something ...
because the strings were way easier and UNBELIEVABLY EASIER to play...
trust me... i have been playing guitar for long time... and know the
difference in playablity from guitar to guitar... but this replacement
was drastic because from what i heard, thicker strings were harder to
play and tougher to bend... in my case, it seemed the EXACT opposite
and a DRASTIC ONE. ...the 10s almost felt thinner... is it because i
got fake 10s or is it natural??? (by the way i couldn't see any
visual difference between the 9s and the 10s width... and my 10s did
not come sealed as were the 9s... they were opened)

PS; the 10s still sound deeper than the 9s but WTF happened to tha
playablity? also, the G string keeps getting out of tune half a step
after every bend... does NOT stop

I beg to differ Keef. My two Les Pauls do not demonstrate that defect
and never have. Next contestant please.
