Get the Vers 2 chip from Peavey for $25 incl shipping. Adds some good
features. Also, the computer editing is a must. Cab resonance, removing the
presence, increasing gain, and all kinds of stuff you can do with it.

only modeled pre amps but power amps as well. The Transformer never caught
on for a few reasons, price, marketing, and those God awful presets. It
was
actually ahead of it's time and when properly tweaked is as good as it
gets.
Gotta change the speakers though, those Blue Marvels suck. The Transtube
EFX
is basically a trantstube amp with effects built in. I have been emailing
the designer for a bit now and he's been telling me all kinds of stuff
about
the amp.
Yeah, I just found that out.
I finally managed to download the Transformer manual and it is quite
different.
I have to admit to not being a big fan of modelling or digital FX but
for the price it looks like iot could be some fun.
A speaker change is a distinct possibility.
A local dealer has a good selection of Peavey speakers and another
carries Celestions and Emminence.
I figure just upgrading to a Scorpion should do it.
I figure I'll download the editor and get a midi cable for it and have
some fun.
If I can find one cheap I'll probably get a Bandit too.
