Twang - you sound like Dr Frankestein - I hope the little monster is friendly to you
and doesn't shock you or bite back. After all you're doing there better
be some sweet tones in there. ;)

I'm not even sure anymore what each part is for.. *L*.
I'll have to reread.. man I sure went through a lot of parts numbers..
but
I got Mouser and TubesandMore working on:
47pF silver mica cap
couple more Orange drops
33K 1/2 watt carbon comp resistor
100K 1/2 watt carbon comp resistor
10K 1/2 watt res.
and more..
I'm sick of rereading these dang things..
gonna mess with c3 and c4 so I've got new caps for that 3.3 K I think
s'posed to be better with humbucks and clean up the farty lows.
After this I'll go for brian hills or jims tone controls.. haven't
decided yet.
and I'm working, honest, on some clips.
so I'll try to get sound comparison between the new and stock
versions..
and I'll try to take shots on the mods as I do them, too.
I'm gonna try to record stereo.. same thing played on both amps at
once.
You can just pan back and forth then. Or can you do that on youtube or
whatever?
should be able to with your pc controls eh?
suggest me.
problem with that is the speakers are different.. now I think about
it. Maybe better to do
two clips.
I'll do some diddling around, but I want to put up a tune, too.
I think I'm a good writer. I'd like to see what you farts think.
Gonna probably use a country tune first though.
Rockers be patient. Programming drum machines is much easier for me
with the old 2/4 stuff.
I still think it might be a good idea to put a 1M pot where R1 gets
the 1M resistor swap.
It seems to me that that might be a good idea for switching between
single and dual coils pups.
It changes the amount of signal to the amp.. putting in 1M gives you
much more signal..and while it's brighter and fuller all around.. I'm
kind of wondering if being able to back it off a bit would help with
the humbucks being do damn mushy on the low end.
Whatcha think?
I'm trying the caps swap first so .. maybe that will do it. But the
thing is, it's a sort of 'to taste' choice on the values there, and
how will I know until I do it?
So I'll try the ones I ordered, and then maybe pop in the pot if it's
still funky.
What do you guys think of those skins on ebay? you can even get a new
cabinet..
85.00 for the stuff, 130.00 with the new cabinet.
Pretty snazzy, but for me, they look damn good already.
I do like the reverse front and back idea..
oh yeah and pardon my
margins.
heh.
