I prefer the version that's played with shoulder pads and a helmet :-)

all you need is a mouthguard, a pair of shorts, a jersey and a set of six
studded boots for the turf.
rules are simple in both games: pass the ball back, run it forward, can't
propel the ball forward with your hands, only tackle the man with the ball.
If a try is scored, the conversion goal kick is taken up field from where
the try is scored, not right in front of the sticks. 6 tackles in RL (downs)
unlimited in RU. No need to change for a defensive side. the fullback drops
back in defense, comes froward in attack.
80 minutes of hard, fast runing, passing kiks in play and ball handling
skills.
