I was bored tonight, so I decided to do something really different -
I made a video of putting my Squier Tele Custom II thorough its paces
with a webcam and routing the audio from my RP-250 into the computer's
soundcard. The video doesn't match up, but for the most part it's
clear and the audio came out great!

I was thinking as I watched that it was kinda cool to hear it then see how
you did it. ;-)
What were you using as software?
I used the monitor software that came with my webcam ( a Rocketfish,
the house brand of Best Buy) to record with, then loaded the resulting
QT video into iMovie to check it out and compress it down into a format
YouTube could handle. All the audio came from the Digitech RP-250,
including the drums - doing it direct like that, you'd never guess that
there was a fan in the room going full blast! :)
I think I'm going to check into a better cam (Apple recently opened
up the drivers in the OS so that one can use a standard USB-2 webcam
rather than a Firewire one), and also experiment with doing a full-blown
arrangement in Cubase and playing live to that....
Thanks for watching.
