I got a new gig at a huge church and went to set up yesterday afternoon. I"you
have a stereo rig with all kinds of spatial effects set up between the
spectrum. I realize it doesn't mean squat out front but it sounds great
onstage and helps inspire me. The sound guy sees my 2 212 cabs and says
don't need that here get a small amp and turn it backwards facing you anda
I'll do the house." I have done that in the past and don't like my stage
sound that way. Then the singer tells me to unplug one of my cabs. All of
this happens before anyone even hears what it sounds like. I can't unplug
cab as most of my patches utilize both. I play the gig and they love mycouldn't
sound but the soundman is still complaining after the gig. Says he
turn me up loud enough because my amp mic would feed back off themonitors.
What a bunch of BS.
Guess this guy never saw a backline miked stack in the old school
metal concert days eh?
