Kind of an open question but which electric hollow body is used most
in the real world. What would you recommend for blues?
A real Gibson or a Epiphone, something else?
The Crossroad is nice but I really want something I don't have to
worry about.

If you want a cheap but good value for money alternative, why not check out
the Ibanez artcores?
I concur... I bought one on a lark about 6 months ago. Been very happy
with it as a recording tool. On the other hand I can't testify as to
it's validity on stage. I've always had issues with feedback control
with hollowbodies on stage... but then again the Nuge, Dave Edmunds
and the like have no problems. Guess that's why I'm not a rock star.
