Also forgot to mention - the circuit board supposed 'all tube' amps
like Valve Jr, Blues Jr whatever also have the input jacks and prolly
every other connection cold soldered to the circuit board.
WTF is that about? How many times do you think you are gonna plug in
and plug out before that crap breaks ? And unline a ptp you can't
do an easy jack replacement with some resolder or any easy thing -
you are gonna have to deal with the circuit board connection which
the board prolly cracked with the jack - these are all accidents
waiting to happen - essentially it's a disposable amp. Just like
one of those lighters you throw away after 500 uses.

But for $99.00 I guess it's ok for some people - and I am sure
it's a fun project to play with -- but I am learning that in the
long run - it's ok to play - but get a real amp to depend on and
become part of your main rig.

Isn't that the main reason folks love these? They're inexpensive, they
sound preety nice and they're highly "tinkerable". (I want one too!)
And no, they're not first-call amps for most serious folks, but toys.
Big Boy toys. Highly affordable and apparently much fun to play with.
I think you might be confusing the two concepts.

I don't think anyone is suggesting the VJ as a main rig, but as a cool
little gem that they enjoy experimenting with. Hell, there might even
be a few people who learn some theory in the process and go on to be
the amp-builders of the future! Let the children play...
