At least Guncho and Repair Guy showed their wares to the world and that
was highly respectable IMO. Nobody said anything bad. But, at that point
everyone knows where they stand, so to speak.

I've been doing Usenet for about 7 or 8 years. I've been in the
flamewars. No more, thank you very much. It's difficult to take criticism
from people that can't prove they are any better... That's just human
nature.

But if you're gonna slam someone, do it with class.

I think why RR get bashed he trying to come like some big Rock star, he
ripped into Carver Bob like an irate idiot instead of trying to work
things out like an adult, most people suggested that be the coarse to
follow. It was very obvious that his posting about Bob was not wanted and
drug on for ever but even when people pointed out they could care less
about his problem or him he just persisted to no end. I would guess Bob
took some legal action against him all his post are gone about him. So the
bashing is not just about his Videos .

Oh, I know it's deeper than the vid... There's just a point in time to not
become the lowest common denominator.

Heck, I read all the posts in this thread, but I don't remember who said
what. I was just commenting in general for all people who post negatively
against other players. It's just a bug up my ass when I see people doing
that when they may not be any better.

It's weird... When I started posting to Usenet many years ago, posting style
was never proof of "what you know". I was like, hey, I've been playing a
long time and I usually know what I'm talking about IF I even have an
opinion. So, I got in a flame war with the infamous Carl Fiadino. I posted a
clip, and while he never really backed down, he knew that I at least knew
how to play a little, but his insults changed to silly high school banter.
After that, he pretty much just let me be. That was when RMMG was a fun
place to be.

Now, THIS group is a much nicer group, but much larger. I enjoy talking to
_all_ you guys when I have time. And really, my attitude (for the most part)
is live and let live, but back up your insults with proof of legitimacy, or
it's just more high school banter.
