Will it be used for your own music? If so, what style? Or, is this to
be a stock amp for other artists to use if they don't bring their own
amp or just want to use something different?

I had never heard of a Roc Pro 700 but did a little Googling to find
some info. According to Musician's Friend, it's discontinued so you'd
have find a retailer who still has one in stock or buy used.

While I've never tried the amp, my impressions are:

* At 70 watts, it's a loud amp for a studio.

* It's a hybrid amp; it has a tube preamp and a solid state power
section. Depending on your style, that might be fine or you might want
to look for something with a tube power section. If going for a tube
power section, I would definitely look for something with a lot less
output than 70 watts for your studio; probably less than 20 watts.

*It has built in effects. Again, this could be a plus or minus. If
you already have pedals or plan to use the effects in your studio that
you like, you'd probably be paying for a feature you don't need.
