Hey Bruce, are you sure about this?
'Cause I have a MIM Tele and a MIM Strat, as well as a USA Strat, all
from the same era. NOTHING has ever gone wrong on my USA Strat. But my
MIM Fenders have gotten new switches, jacks and pots. I was told those
components were inferior and believed it based on personal experience.
On the other hand, the tuners on all my Fenders seem to be equally
fine.
I'm not debating you, I'm just interested to know if this is documented
somewhere.
