This is some more pictures of my guitar build. I just got the last hole
drilled ( had to order a 15MM bit) I have couple hours of sanding left.
Now I'm experimenting for a color mixing dies and tinting lacquer, just
another decision . I thinking of a purple sunburst , page 7 Sep. G P some
one always steals my idea, but just clear might look OK. anyway check it
out Comments welcome good or bad , any question happy to answer.

Great work Dave.

FWIW I'm a newbie at builds...I'm part way through a project, but I
followed Roger Siminoff's and David Myka's instructions on dyeing and
it worked OK for me.

Roger Siminoff's is in his book on mandolin making and David Myka's is
on the Project Guitar site. Roger Siminoff uses alcohol based stains,
but I used water like David Myka. The wood is stained direct. Also I
had irritating problems using tinted shellac mainly because I was
impatient ...and had never done this stuff before.

I'm not ready to post a link to the newsgroup yet. I guess I'm
intimidated by maestros such as yourself but When I'm a little
further on I will pluck up some courage close my eyes grit my teeth &
post.

Will the binding adhesive sand out?

Congrats
