Aaaaagghhh beware the angled plug and taught lead scneario!!!
This is....accidentally walk/jump/run too far from yer amp with a straight
plug and what happens? Probably pull it out of the guitar or amp...maybe!!!!
.....what happens in the same instance but with an "angled" elbow shaped jack
plug???? Me thinks ...MMMm ...sideways leverage.... horrible mess....maybe
break jack plate plug, break guitar lead end, pull combo amp over flat on
face, pull amp head off stack...MMMMmmmm...I wonder!
Anyone comment on this?
Erm...I've found there's _less_ "sideways leverage" with the angled jack (being about half as short as straight plug and all). Never had a problem with mine, although I still feed the cable back through the strap anyway. I think the worst I've encountered is the cable gets tight and stops me in my tracks (and look stupid). No damage to jacks/plugs whatsoever (would be more concerned with damaging the shielding of the cable itself, personally.)
