All I know is almost every item has an 8 rating and a 9 for good items.

Even the line 6 spider 1X12 has "Amazing reviews" from "30 year guitar veterans" and folks with
"Every classic tube amp ever produced" and even a few guys with "Marshall stacks" love just about every product reviewed there.

"This ___________ is the Bees knees in guitar music equipment today"

8.2 sound quality.

Fill in the blank. Its got good reviews!

Musicians Friend, aka GuitarCenter bought the site. Same quality control as
MF has been introduced to HC. As for the other responder's comment about the
biased reviews, I have submitted reviews before the transfer to MF. They are
still there, but MF took out some of my comments!!!?!?!!?! MF'ers! I try
first to buy from someplace like Music123.com before I go to MF based on
their horrendous bad customer service when something wrong does happen. Of
course most of you will say that they are great because most transactions do
go off without a hitch, but god help you if something wrong goes wrong with
your order if if they send you the wrong MF'n guitar.


I have about quit using MF myself. My last order was for two Dimarzio
pickups that were shipped in a plastic bag across country. The pickups
come in some heavy duty plastic cases. When I opened the bag, the
hard plastic cases the pickups come in were in about a million pieces
and the pickups and parts were just flying around loose in the bag.
They worked, but it is a cheap way to ship merchandise "I" paid for.
I also notice Harmony Central seems to be going down hill since
MF took it over. I have had very good service from Zzounds and
tend to stick with them as of lately. Quick service and everything
has shipped in boxes with good packing material. MF prices seem
to be higher than everyone else, even though they are supposed to
price match. I also ordered a GK speaker cabinet years ago from
MF that was supposed to be brand new. It arrived with a tear in
the Tolex. When contacted, they said I ordered a blemished item,
which was not true. I paid the brand new price advertised in the
catalog for a brand new cabinet. I gave up arguing with them as
they wanted me to pay a high price to ship it back. I have had
some orders that went off without a hitch from MF, just to
be fair, but I have grown weary of using them unless no one
else has what I want. Just my experiences.
