Ok, I've read through this monster, and I have a few questions.
First, I don't use this site, and don't desire too. With the exception of
250 or so singles I bought from iTunes (which saved me from wasting money on
250 Cd's I really didn't want but for one song), I buy my CD's normally and
then rip them for use as needed.
1. Is this site legal. No conjecture or guessing, please. Just the facts.
Actually, that's the only question. That's the only one that matters in
this discussion. Legality.

Here is what is on the web site:

Is it legal to download music from AllOFMP3.com?

So, what I get out of it as an armchair lawyer is that it's legal under
Russian law.
Can one even be sure about that. I can put up that same information,
changing the official sounding names to suit, and you'd be none the
wiser. Are all the 'official' organizations cited truly what they are
purported to be?

Check allofmp3.com
All who ever felt gouged by paying $18, or more, for a CD or waited in
vain for CDs to go down in price as they became the standard and the
record companies failed to pass reductions in production costs to the
consumer, now have the chance for some getback.
I hope allofmp3 churns out enough cheap music to affect the bottom line
and the fat bonuses of the executives of record companies before they
succeed in shutting it down.
I for one I am getting dozens of CDs so that I'll be set for life with
music, and my future CD purchases will be only a fraction of what they
were and only for new releases.
Even thought allofmp3 is clearly piratical, it's very hard to feel
sorry for its victims. Legality and illegality not always correspond to
justice and injustice. The distance is usually made up by revenge when
it becomes available. It has now become available with allofmp3 and the
public is loving it, piracy notwithstanding.
