As many noted, what a complete WASTE of God given talent.Thank you for not just taking the easy way out and blaming
His friends, family and business people who have plenty $$$ (I'm
assuming) still have some time to lock up his ass in some strict rehab
facility and get him 24/7 bodyguard for the next 10 years or so to make
sure he doesn't slip. I almost cried whem I saw recent pics of him.
I'm sure his brain is so fried that he can't control his acts any more
and I truly hope his true friends make an attempt to save his life. No
reason he can't learn to play again. (I'd rather listen to EVH at half
speed playing a ukelele than be forced to listen to Sammy Hagar).
Just my 2 cents.
Johhny
only the man. Some people cannot understand what these chemicals
do to the brain, and why this compulsion becomes an ADDICTION.
Speaking for myself, i have had 3 drug problems in my lifetime:
Alcohol, Cocaine, and Nicotine.
And you want to know which one was the absolute hardest to put
down?
Nicotine.
I have to agree with you. When I was young, just about EVERYONE in my
family smoked. Parents, aunts/uncles, name it. About at age 12 or 13 me
and my friends started sneaking them. Went thru H.S. College. Got
married, then one day quit. ( Mid 80's ). I quit and couldn't even stand
the smell until about 2002, when I lost my ( in order ) Grandma, Mom,
Dad, Aunt - within 6 months, all from different, unrelated things. Guess
what I started again.
Smokin.. I hated the smell. I didn't smoke in my house. I went outside.
My choice. I didn't want my kids breathing that. I liked to smoke. But
as I got older, I turned 41 in Nov. With my doctors help, I did the
"patch" and Welbuterin (sp?).. Works for some..
Worked for me. I had my last smoke, Nov 13 2005. And hasn't been bad at
all.
It's hard. It's damn hard. I tried several times to quit between the
first time and the second. It's not easy, and if u fail, all I can say
is give it a break and try again.
Yes, it can be EXTREMELY hard to quit. I started smoking when I was 15
and 'tried' several times by cutting down in my mid 20's. Never
worked. Finally I quit cold turkey. Only then did I realize just how
physically addictive nicotine really is.
Even after 20 years (and even though I complain about other people's
smoking), I still crave cigarettes and dream about smoking all the
time. It's *still* f'ing hard man.
I live in S.W. VA. Tobacco country to the east and south. I'm not a
political activist in ANYWAY, but the U.S. government is paying farmers
around here and in N.C./S.C. money to NOT GROW tobacco.
How 'bout we pay them to grow CORN (ethanol) or Soy beans ( soy
bio-diesel) and tell the Arabs to go to hell ( or where-ever they think
that is )..
Why is that so hard? And no, it's not "w".. It goes much deeper than
that into BOTH parties..
