Meh - I don't know if I'd call what I wrote a vote for Fender over
Gibson; I found that I just happen to prefer a Strat style guitar over
a Les Paul style guitar. Both are great for what they are but they're
totally different.

Yeah, for my part in this I would point out that I can't imagine a life
without both of them. I've always had strats and teles, and Les Pauls
and Firebirds and L6s. I don't think I prefer one over the other,
though if I had to ditch my guitars except for one it would be my
current, or any of my past, telecasters. Still not a vote for one over
the other though.
