Probably alcoholic gastritis, possibly peptic ulcer or alcoholic
pancreatitis. The latter is potentially much more serious. If it
happens again, try taking 300 mg of Zantac and 30 cc's of a liquid
magnesium-based antacid (Maalox, Mylanta, etc). If it's gastritis, you
should get near-complete relief within 20 minutes or so. If you don't
get relief, get medical attention pdq. Oh, and be on the lookout for
black, sticky poop, which could be indicative of digested blood from a
bleeding ulcer. Pepto-Bismol and other bismuth-containing products can
also cause black stools, as can large quantities of green, leafy
vegetables such as spinach.
