I just read something that got me thinking. for all of you that own
epiphone Les Pauls...if someone asks you what kind of guitar you have,
do you say "Epiphone Les Paul".."Gibson Epiphone Les Paul"..."Les
Paul" or something else? Just curious.

If you look on Ebay, they all say "Les Paul" to reel you in, then bury
Epiphone in the description :)

The resales of those things are quite a shocker...

Yeah, the resale value of my Epiphones sure sucks for me... NOT!

$727.05 for the Slash model: http://tinyurl.com/auc25

$503 for my Korina G-400 SG: http://tinyurl.com/85626

How many of you that bought Gibsons NEW in the past five year have seen
the prices for used models GO UP???

Once again Jim Anable has proved the world is flat.

Dude do you have to bring this up everytime??? Everytime you do, I'm
going to tell everyone what you are not telling them. Which is, you
bought these guitars at some firesale, well below normal retail price.

BOTH of those prices are well ABOVE what was the common street price for the guitars at the time that I bought them. Yes, I made even better deals, paying less than common street price.

There is no recently made Gibson or Epiphone guitar on the face of the
planet that will be worth more used than new, if purchased at normal
retail price.

You are absolutely and positively WRONG on that one!

The Korina G-400 sold for less than $500 street. It was under $400. The Slash sold for under $500. Those are two Epiphones that prove you WRONG.
