Tele lead pickup choice - help

i need to decide on which lead pickup to use in the new tele i am
building.

I used a duncan broadcaster in my last one and it was pretty cool but
not quite enough muscle.. i have either a tele hot [STL-2] or the 1/4
pounder [STL-3]

I want a real muscular type twang, not muddy but full and tight bottom
end with sparkling tops...like the broadcaster but meatier i guess
i play light blues, western swing, country, r/billy trad rock styles

i wouldnt use active as i like the single coil vibe warts and all

What would you use??
