What's the question? "How much would I value someone's opinion who
didn't know what he was talking about"? Is that it? I wouldn't value
their opinion at all. Is that what you were looking for?

It does depend on how much money the band is making. If I won the
lottery, I could assemble a band of the best musicians I've met in my
lifetime in about 24 hours.

I wouldn't define "professional" as someone who is reliable and willing

I was referring to talking to other musicians who's opinions I do
respect as they have experience playing in bands.

I agree and I haven't. My main focus is just not looking for
replacement gear to what I already own. My main focus is writing
songs. Is that ok?
I just don't get where you're going with this. I love my girlfriend
and am not looking to replace her. Does that make me close minded?
