hi and thanks for listening! Yes, we are lacking in the real drummer
department.

The timing on the drums is bugging me, but I can ignore that because it's not human. Guitar sounds WAY processed, a bit low mids happy, but maybe that's what you're going after. I'd go a bit cleaner with rhythm, with a bit more cut. The lead run sounds better. These are just opinions, and my tastes.

Drums are indeed a bit screwy at the beginning. That's MIDI for ya. I guess along with the guitar, I should have taken up the drums, keyboards and sax too! :-)

The guitar is definitely more over driven than the original. You're suggestion of a cleaning it up a bit might merit some investigation.

I'm not suggesting that you copy GFR. Covers should always show your flavor. I just tend to prefer a guitar tone that is not that processed sounding. How was the guitar done? It doesn't sound like a mic in front of an amp. But, again, YOU need to decide what you want to hear. I am not criticizing, only offering my opinion on what I'd do.

I admire anybody who does their own recording and puts it out for comments (and possible abuse!). I need to learn how to do basic recording.

It is a bit 'scary'. But the fun of it outweighs any risk. I mean, that's half of fun of playing guitar... having other folks hear it.

Thanks for listening!
