I'll second what Chris said. (You don't get to be *THE* Chris by being
wrong.) You'll notice that an acoustic guitar will sound flat and
muted through a typical electric guitar amp. If you're looking for a
good, relatively inexpensive acoustic/electric amp, try a used Fender
Acoustasonic Jr.--great sound for not too much money.
