I plug my guitar into a POD XT, and then the POD XT goes into the
soundcard on my PC. It's not a brilliant soundcard, but don't ask me
what it is - it's just the one that came with the PC, on the
motherboard.

I had a bit of discussion last week with someone about the quality of
sound on my recordings. A few people commented on it being a bit
distorted, so I just tried turning down the output on the POD a bit
and it does seem a bit clearer. Maybe I was overloading the input on
the soundcard.
