Re: sanding frets

Use a fine grade of steel wool to go over the frets and polish them. (Just
pinch off a little bit, roll it into a little ball with your fingertips,
pinch it a little flat and run over the frets lightly.) Be careful to first
put tape over the pickups so the little metal "hairs" from the steel wool
dont stick to the pickup magnets. You can also tape on each side of each
fret so you wont scratch the fretboard. To bypass all the fret taping, I use
a old credit card or business card on each side of the fret and move the
cards down as I complete each fret. Really speeds up the process. Wipe off
the entire fretboard with a clean cloth after the steel wool polishing.
Finally, get some Dr. Ducks Axe Wax and lightly (on a separate rag) go over
the frets and fret board. Leave on a minute or so to condition the fretboard
and then wipe it all off completely.

I think you will find that your notes will ring out more and the bends will
glide much easier after this treatment. I have been doing it for years and
it has never failed me.

Best of luck to you!
